Every round: one investor’s actual decision

Subscribers only

The desks above give you the numbers. This gives you what a person did with them. For each HK IPO round from August 2026 onward, I write up my own call before the books close — subscribe or skip, how much, which broker, and the specific reason — then come back after listing and mark whether it worked. Eight years of subscribing to HK IPOs, written as it happens, not reconstructed afterwards. It is a record of one investor’s reasoning, not advice, and you should expect to see the ones that went wrong too.

LOF MONITOR / CROSS-MARKET DESK

One desk, three cross-market premium views, five languages

The U.S. vs local-share view compares a company's U.S.-listed unit with its local listing after FX conversion, with the unit ratio, FX rate, quote timestamps and delay context alongside the premium.

  • LOF / ETF premium
  • A/H discount
  • U.S. vs local-share premium

When an Asian market is closed, the comparison is labelled a cross-time-zone reference, not a simultaneously tradable spread. European names use a time-aligned historical U.S. price. Pair coverage is still being filled in.

Each cell carries its quote time, its data age and whether that market was open or closed, so you can see how fresh a number is before you rely on it.

From tab-juggling to one table

This is the actual workflow Pro replaces — not a hypothetical one.

Before: manual grind

  • Open the prospectus PDF, Ctrl+F for the oversubscription table
  • Switch between broker terminals to check the cornerstone tranche
  • Copy grey market quotes into a spreadsheet by hand
  • Pull up a calculator to work out LOF premium or discount yourself

With Pro

  • 681+ HK IPOs in one searchable, sortable table
  • Oversubscription and cornerstone share refreshed daily
  • Grey market read pulled in automatically, no manual copying
  • LOF/QDII premium and discount computed and ranked in real time

How to actually read the allocation table

The numbers only help if you know what they are telling you. Here is what each column means in plain terms.

HK IPO deal detail view showing oversubscription multiple, cornerstone share, grey market price and sponsor history
  • Oversubscription multiple

Total shares applied for divided by shares on offer. A higher multiple means more competition for the same allocation pool, so expect a smaller allotment per applicant, not a bigger one.

  • Cornerstone share

The percentage of the deal locked up by cornerstone investors before listing. A high cornerstone share can mean strong institutional interest, but it also shrinks the free-float tranche available to public applicants like you.

  • Grey market read

The pre-listing grey market price move. It's an early sentiment signal from a thin, less regulated market — useful context, but it has moved in the wrong direction from the actual debut before, so treat it as one data point, not a forecast.

  • Sponsor track record

How often deals led by this sponsor have broken below the offer price on debut, based on the same historical table. It's a soft quality check on the deal team, not a guarantee about this specific listing.

Debut, 30-day and to-date price moves shown per deal are actual historical outcomes for context — not a prediction for the next listing.

Who this is actually for

HK IPO retail applicants

You size how many lots to apply for. Real oversubscription and cornerstone numbers beat guessing from headlines.

LOF / QDII premium traders

The premium or discount window can close within a session. You need the live number, not yesterday's.

Time-strapped investors

You would rather open one desk once a day than dig through prospectuses and flip between broker terminals.

Cross-listing and ADR watchers

You follow U.S. and local listings of the same company and want the FX-converted premium with timing context, not an over-claimed arbitrage signal.
